Launching of the community awareness campaign on “Safe handling and disposal of E-waste” on 21 November 2018, Sharm El-Sheikh

The Ministry of Environment, through the Medical and Electronic Waste Management project implemented by the Ministry in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program and funded by the Global Environment Facility, organized a side event on the margin of the fourteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 14) that took place in Sharm El-Sheikh to launch the community awareness campaign on “Safe handling and disposal of E-waste”.

The project produced animated info-graphics aim at raising the awareness about negative environmental and health impacts that may result from Improper management of E-waste to Inspire people to take a green action. The key messages are:

Reduce consumption of electronic equipment

Reuse of electronic waste

Negative environmental and health impact of unsafe management of E-waste

Recycling of electronic waste
